Release XVI // Chapters 38, 39 & 40

Release XVI is here!

Release XVI includes three chapters, one new music track, a CG, and a brand new feature: "unlock all chapters"!

I was going to wait a bit to implement it, but it's pretty useful — so I just put it in this Release. It only unlocks the chapters, not the bios, interviews, casefiles, ranks, etc. It may cause some glitches, but I have yet to catch any.

Also, I added a "back button" to the dialog box interface, which will let you move backward (the mouse scroll wheel can do that too, but not every mouse has one).

Just like last Release, this one was crammed a bit into today which is why I missed my deadline again — past midnight. Not ideal, but at least I managed to get it done.
There are some things I still want to change about it — but I'm going to have to table those changes for next week's Release. Thankfully, next week should be a little easier so that should be possible.

IMPORTANT NOTICE! I have removed the "Limited Free Offer" reward from the game page. I think I overestimated how many people would be interested — by a lot. However, it's good to know that feature is there if anyone contacts me about claiming their free copy.

And lastly, Methods will be going on a special sale Halloween week — so be sure to look for that!

Until next time!

Detective Ashdown's no-good, very bad, technically terrible last ten years aside...

This secret detective, I feel like I've met her somewhere. Then again, maybe my real name is just Groeg, or something like that. I was laughing the entire way through, but I felt a lot of sympathy for Ashdown, and I was kind of happy to see that he and Woes really were pals for some time.

Whether he's barking up the wrong tree/memorised wikipedia factoid or not, I'm really interested to get more of the GM groups' perspective on things. I feel like there's a lot about to come to a head, as it were. Speaking of Macy Drue, both a certain sandwich and the snake were really good (especially the scene transform on the intro to it!) Nostalgic, just like a novel series turned point-n-click!

As to the secret detective, herself... Though I don't know if she had anything to do with Ashdown's tragic brush with fate, she does radiate fearfully chipper energy, huh? I'll be keeping an eye on her...

Finally, I'll mention the sale to a few people I've yet to convince. Hope you're enjoying the spookiest month of the year, and remember not to overwork yourself!
