Release VII // Chapters 16 & 17
Release VII is here!
Release VII contains two chapters, two bios and one new music track!
Whew! The day's almost over, but I was able to publish the latest release! What happened was I got a bit lazy right after that huge update last week and didn't work on this release that much over the weekend, meaning I had a lot more "crunch time" these past few days.
These two chapters were heavily revised from the original novel -- I would say it's about 70% new material. Which is good, because the original chapters didn't make much sense!
Hopefully the next release won't be as rushed -- I think I just got a bit tired from such a big update. That probably won't happen too much going forward, however, as the "mystery chapters" are more sparsely placed and so allow me to have larger updates without as much burnout.
Next release is going to mark a pretty big shift -- Methods will have reached 20 chapters! That's when I will start my incremental pricing plan. I will have more information on that soon.
Enjoy!
-- LockedOn.

Sounds good - and good work keeping the content flowing. I'm having some mild monitor issues, but I have a lot more screen real-estate, and it makes me appreciate how detailed everything is. I'll probably point that out in a full review when the VN is done, but...
A lot happened. Some of it involved a mythical land known as 'Canada.' My suspicions were confirmed, dashed, and re-fried. I feel that Criminal Garden has a charming laugh matching her likability score - but, getting ahead of myself.
What I really like about your writing is how you can alternatetwists the audience is likely to see coming, and more surprising stuff, and how naturally it flows together.
I liked Detective Honor's intercession, and I really liked both meetings of T.A.D.S; similarly, I genuinely didn't expect the twist towards the end at all, even though something seemed up and I can't help but notice that the sound that - activates the 'VM' seems... We hear it a lot. I feel like it's important, like the Devil's Chord in Gauntlet, or something. (Possibly, I'm overthinking things. I would not make a good detective.)
Hmn, I don't know if rambling actually helps or is just annoying, so I'll close with saying that it's okay to get a bit lazy - sometimes your body needs to recover. Coming up with incredible nicknames isn't easy, after all -
But so far, I'd say the hotel sections have really ramped up the story, somewhat like an ore -
Favourite track, combining the last two segments - Hotel Quail.
Best Criminal is... Probably Killersoul, whose killer soul must be protected at all costs, even though I also love gardening, statuaries, and gorgonzola! The last one may or may not have any thematic balance, but I feel it's important.
As a final footnote, the amount of fine hats/eyewear in this competition is off the chain. Yep, that's a perfect place to finish.
Haha all rambling is completely welcome. I'm glad the twists are working and I hope your monitor issues subside.
